Bryan works with the L3 reactor, one of several spread around the ring.
This pictures shows me standing inside the reactor.  To my left is the path
of the particles into and out of the reaction chamber, surrounded by
focusing magnets.  Behind me you can see the inner "onion skin" layers of
sensors.
