White House Ruin in Canyon de Chelly. This canyon was home to many cliff dwelling peoples until sometime around 1150-1250. The Navajo took up residence in this area of the country around 1300-1400. This Canyon was the last Navajo stronghold and the place where Kit Carson became famous.
